5 days from fes to Marrakech

Day 1 : Fes to sahara via Ifran Midelt and Merzouga 

From Fez we will go through the Middle Atlas mountains stopping in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next town will be Azrou passing through the national park known for its cedars where the famous monkeys of the area are found. Then we will visit the Ziz Valley that will lead us to Erfoud, known for its fossils. Arrival in the desert where we will take a camel ride through the desert until we reach the heart of the desert where we will be received, according to the tradition of the Sahara with a Berber tea, dinner and drum party in the Sahara camp.

Day 2 : Sahara and nomad  tour 

We will see the sunrise over a sea of dunes, we have breakfast from there we begin our visit to the desert we will visit a town called Khamlia they are excellent musicians and they have made this art their way of life. With them we will enjoy a small concert of gnawa music. We will return to 4 × 4 to cover one of the tracks used in the «Paris-Dakar Rally». We will make a panoramic stop to contemplate the sandy desert that includes the Erg Chebbi as a whole.
We will visit some nomads of the desert in the sedentary process with whom we can have tea and get to know their way of life better. Back to the hotel. Free afternoon, dinner and accommodation in the desert.

Day 3 : MERZOUGA DESERT → RISSANI → TODRA GORGE → DADES VALLEY

Following a tasty breakfast at your riad in Merzouga, we will set off for Dades Valley.

During our journey, we will make stops at various captivating places such as Rissani, Tinghir Oasis, Todra Canyon, and Todra Gorge. If it is market day in Rissani (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), you will have the chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant tapestry of a traditional Moroccan market. It is a fantastic chance to see local crafts, spices, and tasty street food. Throughout our journey, there will be enough stops to capture memorable moments and learn about local traditions.

Upon reaching Todra Canyon, you can take a leisurely stroll to admire the breathtaking cliffs that adorn this natural wonder.

Later in the day, we will arrive at Dades Valley, where you will check into your hotel for the night. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a comfortable stay.

Day 4 : DADES VALLEY  –  BOU THARAR  –  KELAAT M’GOUNA  –  SKOURA  –  OUARZAZATE

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, then consider a leisurely stroll in Dades Valley or join a guided hike through the captivating Monkey Fingers Canyon. Marvel at the unique rock formations and breathtaking views along the way.

Leaving Dades Valley, our journey continues with an adventurous off-road route to Kelaat M’Gouna. We will make stops as desired, including a visit to a Nomadic Berber family living in a mountain cave near Bou Tharar. Here, you can experience their way of life firsthand and enjoy a warm cup of tea.

Next, we will head to Kelaat M’Gouna, renowned for its Rose Valley. If you visit during spring, take a stroll through the valley and admire the blooming roses in all their splendor.

Continuing our adventure, we will reach Skoura, a breathtaking oasis with vast palm tree groves. Skoura was once a vital stop for camel caravans traveling between the Mediterranean and Sub-Saharan Africa. Explore the historic Amridil Kasbah, offering insights into life over 300 years ago.

After exploring the Kasbah, we will transfer you to your hotel in Ouarzazate for a relaxing evening. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay as you recharge for the next leg of your journey.

DAY 5: OUARZAZATE  –  AIT BEN HADDOU  –  HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS  –  TELOUET KASBAH  –  MARRAKECH
